Bigtime People! Results: Brock was right…Canelo Alvarez was too big and too much for Josesito Lopez, dropping him in the 5th round. But the fight of the night, and possibly of the year, was the Sergio Martinez points win over Julio Cesar Chavez Jnr. I’ve watched that fight over and over. Sergio put on a boxing clinic, but Jnr almost shocked everyone in the 12th. Winners: BLT…you almost got the Chavez KO, but once again it was ‘close but no cigar’. Nobody called the Canelo win, but Crispy, Enigma and Daz predicted the Martinez fight perfectly. With Madmax having a shocker, this means top order shuffling. Myself, Enigma and Gardner are in a 3-way tie for second, but Crispy is oozing class right now and regains the top spot. It’s getting very serious at the top. Next up: Saturday (22nd September). We have Ricky Burns v Kevin Mitchell for the Lightweight title. What’s Burns got? He’s the champ and has apparently added power to his repertoire.
