BiiigTime Boxxing!!!! Micthell v Katsidis, Khan v Mallinaggi

Fight Fans,
-----
If you didn’t catch last weekends fight....you missed some serious controversy! Kermit Cintron flew out the ring and never returned!! It was unreal. All kinds of questions have been thrown. But the bottom line is that Paul Williams beat Kermit Cintron in the 4th round. Nuff sed. I feel sorry for Cintron because it was the 4th when he was letting his right hand take charge and it would have only been a matter of time before lights-out Williams! Anyways, I’m hearing whisperings of a rematch...Kermit will get him then.
-----
Alegria was the only person to call Williams in the 4th and she picks up 25 big ones! This means Enigma has been knocked off the top spot and Alegria sits pretty at the summit. At the bottom Stratosfear, Madmax and Aaron duke it out for last place. As Enigma kindly pointed out on facebook…I’m sitting just above those lot in the relegation scrapheap.

Tonight is a special bigtime boxing night because it’s a biiigtime double-header! A potential 50 points up for grabs. First we have Kevin Mitchell v Michael Katsidis and then Amir Khan v Paulie Mallinaggi. Kevin Mitchell is the pride of East London! He’s smashed through Britain, Europe and the Commonwealth and is well on his way to becoming Britain's next world champ. He’s unbeaten in 31 and has been calling out Amir Khan since before Amir put on his first Reeboks. Mitchell's the real deal...but Katsidis is no joke. He's a brawler from the rawest parts of Queensland, Australia. All his fights have been damaging. All his KO’s have been damaging! He's lost twice, but in both those defeats, the state of the winners face was like an old skool horror film. He’s been in with big boys in big arenas, which Mitchell hasn't. This gone be a banger! Rudi Lorrai says: This aint going points. This is a true England v Australia! The Ozzie's will take the Twenty20 cricket, Hamilton will smash Webber in Monaco...and them west ham fans will bring Mitchell through with a 10th round KO.

Amir wont be worrying about that fight. This is Khans first fight in America....and it’s in Maddison Square Gardens - the mecca of boxing! Amir is fresh off his 1st round KO of Salita. Whom everybody said would give him trouble. Amir is the next best thing and that’s the bottom line. Mallinaggi’s gums have been flappin (as always). He's got a point about Amirs chin. But as good as Mallinaggi is a boxer, the dude can’t punch! So unless he pulls out a points win - and the fact that he’s Eddie Brocks boy - I aint wasting my time! Rudi Lorrai says: Amir puts on a Naz like performance and KO’s big mouf in the 8th!

The Mitchell-Katsidis fight is on Sky Sports1, tonight at 8pm. The Khan-Malinaggi fight is on ITV at 2am. The RLTv camera’s as ever will be at both. Email, voicemail, text, facebook – whatever’s clever, predict as soon as Portsmouth have upset Chleski. I’ve given you more time than usual to get your predictions in (you like that!?). I’ve noticed though, that theirs two kind of predictors: 1) The Benitez like, whinging, corruption-hollering, crystal palace-last-day-of-the-league-relegation-facing, bottom dwelling, minor league predictors. These guys like to lose. 2) The Mourinho like, smooth operating, get-their-predictions-in-on-time, top of the table, major league predictors. These guys are pure unadulterated winners. Champs like Rudds, Crispy and Enigma are examples. I’m one of them depicted by my 2008 runner-up position.
