Last weekend 'The Baby Bull' Juan Diaz took home a very controversial points victory over Paulie Maliggnaggi. Many think Maliggnaggi boxed and moved himself to an easy victory only for the Texas judges to give the win the (the Texan) Juan Diaz. A rat was definatley smelt in this fight, but I don't think Maliggnaggi should be crying the way he has been (before and after the fight). The bottom line is, if you're gonna run around the ring all day and not hit your opponent hard to the face or the gut you're gonna lose. Plain and simple. Power punching will always beat jabbing-and-running. Diaz did enough, Maliggnaggi -hush your gums. Diaz now brings himself back in the mix and he now wants a rematch with Jaun Marquez. That's Big!!!

Many of us predicted Diaz for the win, but only BLT and Crispy correctly called the decision win. Crispy continues her mammoth onslaught towards retaining her championship with yet another big win. BLT, though, is quietly on the rise. Only 4 points away from the top, BLT was recently quoted: "...At the end of last season I asked myself 'do I want this?' I then decided I was going to be focused and come hard this season. I'm winning it all...!" Big words. BLT finished in mid-table-mediocrity last season, but on current form is a good bet to come through and take the title. Doing better than them though, and better than anyone still, is Enigma. At the other end its looking very grim for PRoy and Eddie Brock. It ain't over though lads, until the fat one sings. I could swear though, that Australia used that motto in the Ashes....

The next bigtime fight is biiiigtime! Floyd Mayweather v Juan Marquez. Both are as bigtime as it comes. Both are multiple division champs. Both have been in the pound4pound top 10 longer than you can remember. Juan Marquez smashed through the featherweight division, the super-featherweight division and the lightweight division until he ran into Manny Paq. Even then, many people say he beat Manny Paq in both fights. How many people can say they beat up the Paqman? twice?! Marquez is Mexico City's finest. He can box, bang and counter punch - as we all witnessed in February when he smashed Juan Diaz on route to unifying the lightweight division. Has Marquez taken one step up too far though??? If he wins he will surely go down as one of the modern day greats. Pretty Boy Floyd though IS a modern day great. The skill, the speed, the accuracy, the defence, the machismo, the funk he's quite simply too good. I seen him with my own two eyes in Fabulous Las Vegas Nevada! His mouth does run a hundred miles a sec...but he does back it up. Rumours though, are rife about his rustiness and his hands not being 100%. Is this true? Too many have come out of retirement only to sour their legacy and end up shaking like a Aussie batsman. Will this happen to Floyd??? Rudi Lorrai says: Marquez has not got the credit he's deserved in his career. He's one of the good ones, but he will end up like Zab, Ricky and Oscar. Money Mayweather rocks him to sleep in the 9th. I sed it!!!
